What is ime?
Chronic, low grade inflammation has been observed during the development and maintenance of obesity. Our group has work on the true nature of the inflammatory milieu in adipose tissue. Our main question lays on: why does adipose tissue become inflamed, and what is the physiological aspect involved in adipose inflammation upon nutrient overload? We, therefore, are interested to study the involvement of inflammatory mediators in the control of metabolic homeostasis.
ABOUt the MEETING
Our aim is to connect outstanding researchers that investigate a broad aspect of immunometabolism and to allow the academic community to integrate in a deep scientific discussion.
